The Corey McIntyre Foundation was created by National Football League Fullback and West Virginia graduate, Corey McIntyre.
The foundation is launching its first program, Team 38.
This program was established to mentor and lead young men to their respective purposes and uncover their passions. Also established to provide a father figure and change the cycle of fatherless situations to allow young men to map out positive steps to achieve their dreams.
The program will create partnerships with local school districts, the juvenile court system, churches, and other nonprofit organizations. We will match a caring adult volunteer with a young man that can relate with the volunteer. We will achieve this by a series of things such as:
- Bible reading
- Mentor program
- Sports program(build self esteem, teach team work, etc.)
- Turn around program
- Dare to dream program
- Goal setting program
To teach young men to to pursue their God given purpose and dreams that will positively affect them, their family, community, and ultimately the world by:
Establishing a strong network of support with schools systems and communities.
Establishing a partnership with financial lenders, community leaders, and countless other organizations to help fund the needs of the young men.
Launching a series of fundraising activities that will successfully fund and expand the program.
Establishing an effective training program for mentors that will increase their ability to be successful communicators.
Driven and committed father = productive and educated kids = a thriving, involved community!
It is our hope that our young men from the inner city will clearly be able to understand his purpose and reason for being here on this earth after joining this program.
It is our desire to inspire our community to live again; To start dreaming and not take life as it comes, but to get up, get out, and make a difference.
